    Helou friends

    I install modx1.0.2 in spanish; select ’SET NAMES’ (if I select SET CHARACTER SET it dont’ work) for de MySQL database and select spanish-utf8.

    All go ok untill the final...
    When I click in ’Cerrar’ (close) the last windows to enter in manager, I see a message that say that it couldn’t write the file ".../spanish-utf8.inc.php" in "index.php line 168" ( I write that line below)

               ......
               // send the charset header
               header('Content-Type: text/html; charset='.$modx_manager_charset);
               ......

    How can I set modx to work with utf8 ?
    Have someone modx working in spanish-utf8 ?

    Or the unique way to install modx in spanish is using ’latin1-8859’ and use ’spanish’ in the database?

    Hope you can give me some answer.

    Success.
    Rolfo.-

      I don´t have the answer, but I have the same problem.

      I just installed and I am new to this CMS but it looks good so far.

      I am an English speaker working in a mixed English/Spanish speaking environment and some of my users may want to work in Spanish. I´m not sure how serious this issue is yet as I haven´t put the site into action.

      Going to report this as a bug I suppose.

      Here is the error PHP returns

      Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\manager\includes\lang\spanish-utf8.inc.php:1) in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\manager\index.php on line 168

      Obviously reinstalling fixes this, but it´s hardly ideal.

      Anyone?

        I think there’s a problem with the included spanish language files. I believe there are updated versions available here: http://svn.modxcms.com/jira/browse/MODX-1095.
