I’d like to have the content of one tmplate used inside another,
one way is to create a chunk and use it in both, but was wondering if there was a way to mirror the content of a template
(I want to have a duplicate that has different managermanager options)

I wanted to apply different settings to the same template, but because managermanager only allows you to set settings through either user roles or tempaltes, I need to create a separate template that has essentially the same content. This will let me rename custom fields, default to non-rich text editor and hide fields from the editor when necessary. rather than copying the entire template inside another template, I created a chunk that is called inside the two templates, so if I want to update anything, I just update the chunk and both templates get updated.
I tried it once where I had different chunks for different parts of the page so a separate chunk for the head and body, and within the body there would be the header, navigation, footer and the main content. I didn’t end up having to change them much, so it was just overkill, but might might work for another site. I do however wonder to what extent they(all these chunks) effect the performance. I assume the pages get cached and if not, then it wouldn’t be so taxing anyway, but I don’t know for sure.
