Hi all,
Please can someone help. We have installed Modx and everything was working fine, then the hosting company ran a ’security update’ on the server and since then the site hasn’t worked properly.
Something happened to affect the way that the path’s work, we have had to point all includes to the manager/includes folder. That has fixed most problems, apart from some scripts including DirectResize and the Resource Browser pop up. I have managed to change the paths for the DirectResize plugin so that it now works. However the resource browser is still causing us problems.
I can upload images through the browser but just cannot see them. I have checked and the images are uploading fine as I can see them using FTP to the images folder. I think I have narrowed it down to the following folder, /manager/media/browser/mcpuk/ but have no idea how to change the paths of the thumbnails to make them appear.
Can someone please help?
Thanks.
We are having the same problem on a client site, although I’m not sure if the hosting company has run a security upgrade. I’m guessing then by the security upgrade that you too have Windows hosting, which in my experience, is often the cause of most failure issues, especially this kind of problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions...?
I may be a newbie here, but in some places I'm positively pre-historic!
I have the same problem when I upload file with national chars or any other special chars. When I rename files - everythink back to normal.
Sorry for my English. I hope that I help.

Keep in mind that the resource browser is a third-party Javascript application, so MODx really has very little to say about how it handles things like filenames.
