I’m very new to MODx. I have been going through the tutorials attempting to start creating a template. My problem is that when I am uploading the image files and style.css file, they are vanishing a short time afterwards from the directories.
My hosting site is BlueHost. I uploaded a file to the root directory (outside of the modx tree) and the file remains there. Does anyone have any clue if modx is doing something I don’t understand?
Thanks. I hope this is the proper forum for this. If not, my apologies.
Not sure what you mean by vanishing. Where in your folder structure are you uploading your files? I generally upload my css and images into assets/templates/mytemplatename. Then I make sure I reference the path correctly in the head of my template. Everyone does it differently. So I guess the question is what do you mean when you say they disappear.
They are literally vanishing from the templates/mytemplate folder. It’s very odd. I upload via ftp, then later when I go to load the page for my site that uses the style, the style sheet is gone!
I can’t manage opening their forum.
Not sure I’m buying the virus goo. But I did manage to make things work by using a 3rd party FTP client.
Thanks! MODx is a very impressive system.
