I’m not only only new to MODx but this is my first foray into building a website using any CMS (I assist in managing an already built Joomla site at work, but hate it). So, I apologize in advance for overly noob questions, buy here’s a start (I’m sure I will have others):
I just installed the latest Revolution beta using the advanced option (maybe I should have stuck with Evolution?). I don’t see any sample web site or templates installed. Am I missing something? It would be somewhat helpful, I think, if there was something there to modify rather than attempt to figure everything out on my own, from scratch. Two questions:
Would it simply be easier to just start over with a clean Evolution installation and upgrade later? Other than the installation itself I don’t have anything built yet so there would be little harm except the time needed to remove and re-install the CMS.
If staying with Revolution makes sense (considering a GA release might be available soon enough anyway) how do I obtain (or find) a sample web site with a default template to work with?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
