I have been developing web sites using html and css. I’m just finishing up my first MODx site and i have found a few productivity issues that raise the following questions:
    - is there a way to globally search for or change text throughout the MODx site. I understand that in MODx much of the code is in the SQL database so this may be a silly question.
    - My workflow had been to edit all files in Dreamweaver because of all the nice features its editor has and then copy the text to MODx. Is there a better way?

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

I think you’d need to do an SQL search and replace.

Depending on what it is you are trying to change, I think the idea with cms, and ModX in particular, is that anything that is meant to be re-used in multiple places is placed in a chunk, or snippet, and then you only need to change it in one place.

        Yes, with DocFinder module:

If that workflow suits you, continue using your favorite editor with "Its All Text" firefox add-on...
