    Hi there,

I build my Site with the great MODx and I wanted to have a Blog so I decided to install Wordpress as the Blog for my page and since today I got this weird Error "The site is currently unavailable" but only when I am not logged in as the Admin in MODx. So I don’t think it could be something with the installation of Wordpress.

Maybe you had the same error and can halp me now what it could be?

Here is the link http://www.emdesigns.de to my site but I don’t think that it could help that much since there is nothing more but the "The site is currently unavailable" text.

I really don’t understand why everything work fine when I am logged in in MODx?

Thanks for reading and watching wink

Are you sure that Tools > Configuration > Site > Site Status is not set to "Offline"?

Come on grin this can’t be, am I blind? My site was all the time online and was working untill I started to play with Wordpress and User friendly URLs and now it was offline?

Nice that you are here kp. What do you think about a screencast how to set up pkblog? I don’t get how to do this since I am new to modx.

I used to work in a large team of editors (doing some macros and software training on the side), and many of my colleagues would treat me as the unofficial help desk. I found that a large proportion of problems could be pinpointed with two simple questions: is it plugged in? Is it switched on? These are questions I ask myself when things go wrong for me, and guess what huh

Wordpress: it’s worth checking what WP has done to your .htaccess file. I don’t know exactly what happens to produce the "we’re offline" message from MODx, but I do know that WP permalinks make significant modifications to the .htacess file.

pkBlog: I’m working towards the real thing (PubKit) now, and aim to make the setup easier, taking comments from adopters into account. Hope to be publishing something this month (mind you, that’s what I was hoping last month and the month before...) I have no plans to become a video star, but I will try to make a readable manual!
