So at the MODxpo, Shaun said that one of the most pressing needs for Revo was CSS editing. I’d love to help, but I have no idea HOW to make this happen. What’s the best way to make changes for someone who isn’t familiar with the various source control methods that are being used....

I asked the same question! Here’s a starting point:
We have a page up detailing the goals:

We work collaboratively via SVN, and the page details our process on how to get involved with that.
Our main goals are not redesigns (new design proposals will be accepted post 2.0.0-GA release) but getting the current design cross-browser compatible and stable. There might be some JIRA bugs already filed for CSS/JS fixes here:
