The Netherlands

I’ve been meeting more and more MODX developers (& designers) in the Netherlands lately... while I’m not entirely sure if I’d want to take a lead in organising a meetup here, but it may be worth discussing?


I’m located in Leeuwarden during the week, and near Steenwijk (kop van Overijssel) in the weekends but would definitely consider attending a meetup within a 1,5hr radius from where I live.


Things coming to mind I would like discussing is related to the future of MODX and how that will influence running a business, project workflow, how much control the client gets over the manager etc. I’d love to see a code brawl (like Digital Butter did) too!

I would like that, a meeting, but only if there is shoarma lol. No realy a meeting with dutch modx profesionals would be a great thing!

I live in Almelo and b03tz lives 5 minutes from me and ReSpawN lives 20 minutes from me utrecht is doable but apeldoorn would be better

Both would work for me, but apeldoorn is a bit closer.

Utrecht would probably be better for those in the Randstad though, or even some Belgian developers.

Apeldoorn is fine by me... as long as there is beer and shoarma.....

Depending on when something will be organised, perhaps it’s an idea to spend some time with a bunch of people on translating some documentation to Dutch. The infrastructure for that isn’t here, yet, but that would definitely be a good way to give back to the community in a way a lot of people will benefit when it’s in place.

And we can drink beer (though not too much - it needs to be accurate right? :p) and eat shoarma while doing that.
