Template category: What is it

In the revo "Create new template" or" Create Quick Template" options, there is a template category pulldown selector with the following options:

Gallery
getResourceField
GoogleSiteMap
SimpleSearch

What is this?

The category is simply an organizational tool. All "Elements", such as snippets, chunks, and templates, can be assigned to a category. THese are simply hierarchical folders to help you organize. In the elements sidebar you can drag and drop elements into and out of existing category folders, but you can also assign the category at the time you create the element. In my case above, several categories were created with the installation of some plugin packages, which is why I was at first confused. I didn’t recognize them!
