I’m putting up a design service and I would like to create a customer area so on the customer page I can keep track of the services they have.. If they have Package #1 I would like to be able to list it on the the page where they login.. if they have Package#1 and 2x Package#2 I would like for it to show.. It would vary from customer to customer. Is this something I should consider doing with Modx or should I look for another solution for that part of my design service? What would that even be called?

          take no offense...

I would think modx will be perfect for what you need, not that I’m an expert or anything.

you can create TVs for the packages you offer, then create a personal page for each client and have the TVs shown on his page.

The first time I tried to pass my main box PCI compliance I got screwed because I had too many apps installed (modx+WP+Magentoo+OpenGoo+Flyspray and so on smiley ). now each app has it’s own plugins and modules and in many of them the scanner found security issues in the code. now go and find the patch, and the time to apply it, for all these apps.

there is defiantly is a need for specific app in some cases and not all apps are alike, but since that scan I changed my perspective and think twice before I install anything on that box.

It’s also cool to have it all in modx if you already familiar with it makes things faster than learning a new app.

              blahblah.
