TUTORIAL: Integrating Coda Slider 2-0 in MODx Revolution

In this tutorial I will show you how to integrate the excellent Coda Slider 2.0 from Niall Doherty in your MODx Revolution CMS.

The Coda Slider is very flexible as you can see on the demopage, and using Template Variables users will be able to edit the Coda Slider content from the MODx manager without knowing any HTML or CSS!

First of all thank you for your great tutorial!

I think at "STEP 3 - Add the CSS & Javascript to your template header" you missed the "</script>" after line 8.

I followed your instructions and finally the slider won’t work as expected. If you click on the arrows (left or right) everything is alright, but if you click on "Panel 1" (or 2, or 3...) i get redirected to a new site wich is just my domain and the number of the panel: "http://www.sampleurl.com/#1"

I think that’s ja MODx issue - have you missed to mention this at your tutorial? (maybe something within the "custom.js"?)

its not on the site anymore, I guess that's due to the fact that the "coda slider" has been replaced with "Liquid Slider" ( http://liquidslider.com/ )

I would suggest taking a look at http://flexslider.woothemes.com/ too it has some examples and is built on the same principles. hope you find one that suits your needs.

Have to take look flexislider.

I integrated Liquid slider to my template. Easy even for me.
