While directory structure, at least on some level, is up to all of us to figure out, I wanted to ask the community on best practices.
Please comment on how I see this:
1. Media for templates that will only be used by the template should go in to assets/templates/[template-name]/[folders as needed such as images, flash, etc]
2. Media for documents or shared by both a template and the potential for being used in documents should go in assets/[folders as needed such as images, flash, etc]
Do I have this right as a best (and consistent) practice?

My personal opinion is to build how you would build a static site. I prefer for instance not having to deal with deeply nested assets directories. From the standpoint of being straightforward, I like something like this:
assets/
*.css (any CSS files loose here)
js/
img/
flash/
etc.
The templates directory is a good place for manager templates and a few other things.

Thanks, and how I see it as well. Just wanted to make sure there was nothing special or required about how MODx works.
