We’ve just set up a new domain and I’d like to develop that site using Revolution, if possible. We have another, older domain on the server that’s Evolution created/maintained. Not being well versed in server admin, but needing to do the install myself, I wonder if it’s possible to have two different MODx versions on the same server if they’re installed in different directories. I’ve read that Evolution and Revolution are not related, but would installing Revolution modify any files at the root level that would affect the Evolution files/settings? I’ve ftp’d the Revo install files over, but before I run the setup, I want to make sure I’m not going to screw up the existing Evolution MODx install.

The directory structure I’m describing is as follows:

    /root
    /domain 1 - Evolution based
    core
    /manager
    index.php
    etc.
    ...
    /domain 2 - Revolution (?)
(where I’ve copied the Revo install files...)

    Thanks,

    Chris

only if yu plan to put both version in the same folder you’ll have a problem.
if each version has its own directory no problems. I have that setup.
      just use separate databases smiley
