Blogging and tags

Hi everyone,
I’ve been using modX and I just love it. I have to say I usually use Wordpress for blog stuff but I want to give it a try with modX this time. I think I understand how to create a basic blog but I’m looking for something specific and I hope you can give me some tips or guidelines...or even tell me that modX won’t be the best tool for that.
I want to have articles where I can use tags for categories but also do a little bit like with wordpress and create custom taxonomies and being able to click on a tag and see all the posts from one specific tag...if you see what I mean. Any help on where to start would be really appreciated.

Ditto can handle the tagging as well as do the taxonomy to some degree. There is a cool video that illustrates how to do this on the Ditto support site.

I use this on my blog. If you want I can set you up with a manager login and you can see how I did it, just PM me and I will set it up (my site is still a work in progress that I am getting back to after being away for a few months, but the tags are working).
