Does any one know how to set up MODx so that the client can create forms? I used XOOPS and saw how it worked, but the CSS in XOOPS is FAR too complicated and time consuming to get anything to have a desired look. Of course, I can code it, but what would be the point of using a CMS? Please help??
Not having to code CSS is not even on my list for reasons to use a CMS. MODx has no way for a client to build a form that I am aware of. I did start using document IDs for the eform snippet however, so form and reports are editable from the document tree. However this solution is not ideal for a client to mess with.
If I were you, I’d inventory my must have features, would be nice features and choose a platform on that, then code your front end to fit. If you don’t want to mess with all that use wordpress.
