Can modx be used for a blog?

I’ve set up a website using modX (very nice it is too). Can it also be used to run a blog, or should I just install blogging tool like WordPress and use on different URL?

The demo content during install comes with a blog pre-configured, so yes.

Thanks for this, but I set up the modx site without demo content, as per recommendations made in this very forum. Can you help with a few pointers please?

Go through this tutorial, particularly the Ditto section:

In this case it’s not a "blog" but "articles" but call it a blog and you’re on your way.
