Ok, I created a new document (on installing and using snippets from the designer’s point of view), but it isn’t showing in the Table of Contents; in fact you can’t see it at all unless you do a search for it. How do I get a document moved into the section where I want it?

I’m no expert at Wiki markup, but have you tried putting this at the top?
[[Category:New or existing main category]]
[[Category:optional other category]]

Yeah, I finally gave up and went looking for Confluence documentation. The article is now where I thought it ought to be; feel free to move it if you disagree.
