How to create a Template Variable drop down list of modx pages

This might seem like a silly question (still learning Modx) but if i use a checkbox or multiple select dropdown, how do I ’name’ the links, for example ’link1’ how does this relate back to what is selected in the list?

thank you for your help. don’t think the client wants a fixed number of cross-sell items he can add, maybe i need a different solution to using GetField to do this.
