I had enough trouble with a site (my doing, I’m sure) that I created a clean installation.

Is it possible to import templates from the old installation, snippets, chunks, etc? The old template folder is within the (new install) template folder but the new install is not seeing it. Am guessing that moving other stuff over that way won’t work either.

Or do they all need to be recreated (cut’n’pasted)?

    Thanks!

To my knowledge the templates, chunks etc. are all stored in database.

If you reinstalled site and overwrote old db these will be lost.

If you used different name all should be intact in db. I looked at db using phpmyadmin and saw that the content is text so I would assume you could just copy and paste that in new manager by creating the required elements.

Maybe someone else has more knowledge.

        Thanks for your reply smiley

I figured that was the case but was hoping for something a little easier. Nevertheless, a couple of hours(!) of copy-pasting and things are back on track. Not to mention, backed up a bit more frequently!!
