Newbie, Is it possible to show to show messages

As a newbie I’m still discovering Modx. I was wondering if anyone has seen or has ideas if the following are already possible are can be created.

Ok, I assume it’s possible to send private/group messages from within the manager, however:

• Is it possible for web users to send messages to the admin or to other users/same group?
• Is it possible to have the same function that once a web user has logged in for them to see if there are messages waiting for them and have a link to their inbox?

Hope someone can help advise on this or point me in the right direction (not the exit please )

Well no one responded and now I understand why. My fault for not reading the documentation regarding users. As manager and web users are entirely different then it’s understandable that the inbox is only available to manager users only. Not sure if webloginPE has something like a mailbox for users so I’d better start reading the documentation.

WebloginPE has a contact form the default ’view profile’ page to send messages (by conventional email) to the user that you’re viewing.

It’s a nice idea and it certainly makes sense for Web users to have a "mailbox," but don’t know of any way to do it without some serious custom programming.

There’s been an effort put in place and I’ve seen a full blow working mailbox system tagged onto WLPE. I think it will be released soon, too.
