I’m a bit frazzled here. First of all, I think it’s 100% retarded that there’s specifically no IRC support. Make whatever argument you like, but DUH.

So, I have very mixed feelings. There are some things that I like ALOT, and others that I don’t. Like how temperamental this whole CMS is. For instance. I have followed your instructions to get quickedit working. It worked in the stock layout, but not in my template. I have tried the tag method, the html method and the custom links method. If I preview the page, I get the quickedit link in the preview, but not in the published page. I have cleared the cache repeatedly. If I click on the quickedit link in the preview window,, it asks me to log in (even when I am already "apparently" logged in) and then I can edit pages. Then the link (button) even shows up appropriately on my published pages!

I stress that I am "apparently" logged in because I get the login form on the page. If I enter an invalid username/pass it tells me so when I try to log in, If I log in using the right username/pass set I get logged in, and the login form changes to a logout link. It also increments the number of logins for that user so I can see that I am getting logged in. I am confused.

Does this make sense to you? Now let’s see how long it takes to get a response!

Here. The login system is clearly confused:

Erm, sorry for MODx being a free software without a 24/7 IRC support.

It worked in the stock layout, but not in my template. I have tried the tag method, the html method and the custom links method.

Well, then think about it. Don`t you think it would be helpful to see that template and your efforts including QE?

Sorry for your long waiting. Do you want my phone number for free professional support?

Marc I like your inline comments smiley I’d like your phone number for free professional support smiley

Anyways, this also happened to me couple times, but usually I’d clear the cache in the manager, and then it’d work. I do agree that MODx is sometimes somewhat temperamental, but one also has to bear in mind that the combinations of environments that this framework has to run on out there are numerous, and testing on all those environments takes time and resources.

Earlten let us know if you still have issues or maybe you’ve researched alternative solutions?

Good job MODx dudes. I really like this product!
