A ______ is only as good as its ______.
    Right now, I’m thinking :
A cms is only as good as its community.
though not necessarily true, it is an important component. Not looking to bring up modx vs ____!, I’d like to know if anyone is involved in a focused effort to increase the community. I do get a weird look or two when I tell people I’m not using wordpress, joomla or drupal, it would be nice to get the `Mod to the X` out there, but more importantly with more users in the community the CMS will theoretically (in my theory anyway) become stronger. Stronger through more development of snippets and modules and documentation that will help newer users get started quicker.

I realize that there is a conference happening down in Dallas (I also realize that I’m not going there). I’d like to suggest that there is a debate about spreading modx, that goes beyond this->(http://modxcms.com/community/spread-modx.html)

I’m thinking of putting my altruistic effort towards putting together a tutorial on http://net.tutsplus.com/ for modx.

Any ideas, suggestion or comments? Would be nice to spread the word to spread the word grin

I definitely think growing the community should be a major priority. We should be getting more articles and tuts out there to create more MODx awareness and get the word out! We need to be fervent evangelists, creating how-tos and user guides and showcases of what MODx is and can do, so that people coming in have plenty of resources to encourage them to dive in and get started.
