Just a few suggestions:
Change "front page" to "front end."
Add a little more explanation up front about the difference between the "front end" and "back end" (e.g., "when you’re working in the ’front end’ you see the site as users see it, but with some added buttons and capabilities"). Then describe the "back end" and say that the "back end" will be referred to as the MODx Manager.
After that, consistently refer to the back end as the MODx Manager -- it will make it much easier for users to remember which is which and further instructions that start out "in the MODx Manager" will be understood immediately.
