I just caught myself writing a paragraph on how to edit content with HTML. That makes me wonder what level of user I should be writing to. My impression of MODx is that users are expected to know PHP, HTML, and CSS pretty well. I don’t think that MODx will ever be the VisualBasic of content management, but my experience is that it is a lot simpler to learn than Typo3. So I’ve been trying to write to my level (which is passable PHP, pretty good HTML, and still learning to spell CSS). Is that the right audience to write for?

It’s never wasted time. I always prefer at least three different sources by three different people when I’m learning something new; that way you get different explanations from different points of view to perhaps make what is unclear in one source more clear in another.
