Blog date listings for archive

Hey all,

I created a MODx based blog using the wikipage here:

... everything is working like a charm. I was wondering how it is possible to create a month/year list as a sort of archive navigation for the blog. So that any month/year that was posted would show up in the archive list and any month/year that didn’t have posts wouldn’t show up. Something like

Archive
January 2007
February 2007
April 2007
June 2007

Also I setup a listing of categories to navigate the archives. Is it possible to get a count of postings for each category? Like:

Language Posts
Italian (9)
English (100)
French (33)

There is a wordpress style archives listing... which is exactlywhat I was trying to replicate.

I’m going to keep looking for the summary count item too, but if someone knows that off hand let me know

I think using [+total+] placeholder by ditto will help you for counting.

Thanks for the response. I’m not sure I’m doing things properly. I’ve created a category system as instructed on this page:

Thus each category has a specific document landing page. These pages have the ditto call for that specific category. Therefore, my category listing is created by WayFinder as a menu of these docs. Would I have to include the ditto call in the way finder menu template? Or is there a better way to get a category listing with links rather than using wayfinder in this way?
