ok my main mistake was inserting the tv backwards(en where zh should be)... and now it works great.

I’m using wayfinder and couldn’t use the ’UltimateParent’. Ended up inserting the doc id for where wanted the menu to start and for the sub menu. Also works as expected

My good friend, that’s because you missed something important. UltimateParent isn’t a text parameter, it’s a snippet call. So you need to use the snippet syntax: [[SnippetName]]

Wrong Way:
[!Wayfinder &startId=`UltimateParent`]]

Good Way:
[!Wayfinder? &startID=`[[UltimateParent]]` ]]

When using a snippet call as an argument for another snippet, make sure to alternate the tag types, if the outer snippet is uncached make the inner one cached, and vice versa.

[[Wayfinder? &startId=`[!UltimateParent!]`]]

[!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent]]`!]

This was the only one that worked for me, but only after I spelled Ultimate correctly, so be careful when you copy-n-paste this code!

You can ditch the redirect and simply edit your site’s configuration to specify a new "Site start" page. For example, if your default language is english then set the "Site start" page ID to the english version of the Welcome page.
