How can I allow a user permissions in a folder which is within a locked one?

I have 2 folders. Namely "Home" and "Blog". I want to put the "Blog" folder inside the "Home" folder and I want to allow a user to edit or create docs in the "Blog" folder. However, I don’t want to allow the user to touch the "Home" folder.

When I add the "Blog" to the doc group that the user has access to, the "Blog folder won’t show up when it is within the "Home" folder but it will when it is at the root (ie has 0 as parent).

Any ideas?
