I don’t think that’s anything MODx would do. Take a close look at any index.* files and .htaccess to make sure it’s not a site hack. Then maybe look for some legacy CF code at the site.
Thanks Bob,
I’ve had a look and nothing looks hacked in root.
We’ve never been running CF so can’t be that either.
The clients found another one yesterday this one is sitename/index.php?id=40&z=manprev
The home page is using id 40, so I can see where that’s coming from, but he’s freaking out that Google will penalise the site for duplicate content.
Any idea how/why Google is finding these pages? Could it be something in there crawler?
Cheers

Have you tried googling the full link. Maybe someone has that in a link to your site somewhere.
The only possibilities I can see are a rewrite rule in .htaccess that’s adding those or that that they are real links somewhere on your site or someone else’s.
Here’s another thought. If you have your "error page" set to your home page, bad links to your site may not get a 404 response and Google will think they are working links to real pages.
this is a modx manager thing: sitename/index.php?id=40&z=manprev, I have seen that before
the other I do not know
