This would be a great idea! Block management
This would be beneficial for those who do "not" want to create templates but would rather click and click to move things around.
At the moment I see MODx having a learning curve that isn’t all that bad but still a slight pain to deal with. Sure we might have a ton of sites that look like each other but then the users might just be that much more happier.

A tip for the multiple select.
Just put two separater bars ( || - usually shift \ ) at the beginning of the list in the Input Option values to make a blank at the top of the list, so you can select it if you don’t want any blocks. Otherwise, once you’ve selected one, you can’t have none.
Great tuto who shows a smart use of TVs !
Very usefull for beginners.

Certainly an ugly hack but really easy and unless you can’t repeat values it seems like it would work. In some cases it might even be handy so you could have some element twice.. for example if one of the items was a spacer and you wanted a help block or search in the first position and the last so that it was on the top and bottom of the bar on a site with a lot of content. Oh god, there goes my head hurting again... Someone add a MODx Anonymous forum please I think I am developing a content abuse problem.

Actually, I have evolved my use of TVs for sidebars into a simpler method. I create a TV for every block I have in my template besides the main content block. Each of them simply have @INHERIT. Then in each block, whether the top or sides where I’ll want different content for certain pages, I just put in what I want, whether it’s direct HTML or chunks containing HTML, snippets, and even more TVs.
This way is not quite as point-and-click simple as before, but allows a lot more flexibility, plus allowing me to modify a sidebar’s content in a section container, and all the pages under that section will inherit that sidebar content, such as a menu snippet to display that section’s menu list, or a subject-specific picture.
