ie9 breaking websites

I understand the need to have a cross-browser manager interface, but we always (without exception) instruct our clients to run MODx on the latest version of Firefox. Sometimes it requires an explanation, sometimes it requires a bit of coersion, but in the long run it really helps to minimize support calls like the one mentioned in the quote.

I just came across this posting last night as one of my clients brought up the whole IE9 problem with the MODx manager. Back when I first started using MODx in ’06, IE6 was still used by a lot of my clients. Of course IE6 had all kinds of problems which caused problems with the MODx manager. I gently nudged all my clients toward FF and had no resistance. I just explained MODx was a cutting edge system that required a standards compliant browser and they understood. Honestly I had no problems after that point.
