Using + in the url

Hey all,

I have noticed on the MODX docs that the + sign is used in between words for the friendly URL’s, so the question is is there any SEO reason for this, if so what is is and if not why are they used ??

How is this different than the dashes "-" furnished between URL words by say an application like WordPress

I don’t think + is intended in the documentation as a suggested way to separate words, as + represents a space in URLs, usually in a query string.
Do you have a link to the documentation where you saw this?

You are seeing + in the url bcz Atlassian Confluence uses it.

eg. http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Functional+Changes+from+Evolution
