I am new to MODX - have setup a couple of sites, nothing major. I am not a programmer, but I feel comfortable working within the code.

I have an opportunity presenting that may allow me to really let MODX stretch it’s legs - so to speak. So I am looking to the community for some advise/ input.

Using MODX to build a site similar in features to this site; http://bit.ly/bp7sbB

Could it be done simply with templates and TV’s, or would a new DB or Table need to be setup, to handle the products and their attributes, then use either chunks and/or snippets to make the calls to DB, OR possibly a combination of the two?

    Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Template Variables are all you need. It’s similar to the work I did here: http://mavarts.com in the store. Obviously it looks a lot different. The store on MavArts use FoxyCart and a bunch of TVs plus a lightbox.

        Very nice work!

I must say that I am very impressed that this is all done with TV’s, and I am looking forward to learning A LOT about MODX on this project.
