Popups that fail in IE? Substitute for the [~123~]

I’m using a simple javascript to pop a new window when a user clicks certain links, but it fails to perform in IE... is it because when IE sees the fully domain, it thinks it’s a different server? Or is it because the name of the window contains a dash? If it’s due to me passing the new target via the [~123~] pragma... is there a good way to strip off the server name?

I don’t quite follow; [~123~] returns a relative path from the site_url, so yes, the host name and scheme and base_url are already stripped off.

Wow... I’m r-tarded. Ok, I’m just so used to my base tag picking up the rest. But there is a fix... (not for my stupidity, just for the other issue): You can download the

Or... on some deployments with particular mod_rewrite rules, you can turn off alias paths. All this makes IE happier.
