Okay, this might seem like a strange question to ask here, but I’m looking for a simple, light-weight CMS for a very small project (a 3 page site). I build almost everything in MODx, and I love it, but the site I’m working on doesn’t need something as powerful as MODx.
Simply, I need to be able to set up multiple, editable content areas and have an image upload facility. I’m tempted to code a simple CMS myself (I’ve done it before), but the budget is too low to justify it, and I don’t want the maintenance. So, anyone used anything that might fit the bill?
hmm, why not just use MODx anyway? Sure it’s powerful but that doesn’t preclude it from being used for simple websites, right? You will reap all the benefits of MODx and additionally have the ability to scale should the needs of the website ever expand. And you can use ManagerManager to simplify the backend completely for the end user.

I am not sure if these features are exactly simple. And your experience is with Modx, so why not go with modx?
