MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « PHP Parse Error »
    Please help,

I attempted to setup the smf module exactly as explained in the MODx Web Development book I have been so encourgaged to purchase, (for the most part, good book....just out of date)and besides not working it hosed up my whole site. When I panicked I quickly removed the files from my site and deleted the module, however, it’s not gone. On top of about a thousand other bugs occuring immediately after the failed installation, my login capabilities have been decimated. How do I pretend that smf module and I never met. I have a 300 page site that was almost ready for release and now it’s worthless.....Pease Help!!!! Yes,
I did backup prior, laugh but at first glance everything was ok so I created a few pages, backed up again :’(...and then discovered the laundry lists of bugs....I replaced my backup

luckily I had an extra backup before I ran the smf connection...I was able to restore the site with minimal data entry.

LESSON LEARNED......BACKUP EVERYTHING AND KEEP MULTIPLE BACKUPS JUST IN CASE.....

I’m sure everyone else has already learned this lesson.....

      PROBLEM SOLVED......THE HARD WAY
