Opera 10.5 (still in beta) finally supports JavaScript right-click menus!

The Opera team released the beta for their new version of Opera today. I tried out the MODx Revolution Manager in it, and the right-click menus finally work! Opera has always had a setting that let you turn on right-click capturing in JavaScript, but it’s never seemed to word until now.

I’m not sure how many of you use Opera, but if you do, this is definitely good news.

That is good news. Maybe we’ll support Opera then.

Everything else already seems to work just fine, so I wouldn’t worry too much about Opera. I’m an avid fan of the browser, but it has something like 2.2% of the population using it, so it’s not much a minority to please.

I’m also a fan of this browser and do all my MODx developments with it.
I also use Firebug from time to time when I need its Firebug module.

Opera’s speed is excellent, especially when opening new tabs.
Also love its way to perform searches from the address bar.

e.g. Searching in Google: "g words to search"
Searching in Wikipedia: "w words to search"
Searching in Yahoo: "y words to search"
a.s.o.

Until know, I’ve been using Opera 9 and there were minor display bugs with MODx 1 making I stayed to earlier MODx versions.

I’ll probably soon switch to Opera 10 and give a chance again to newer MODx versions.

Jul, searching is even easier in Opear 10.5. You don’t have to use the "g " before what you’re searching for (actually, I don’t even think you can anymore). You can even search for one word without it try to go to word.com (so if you just type "dog", it won’t go to "dog.com").
