MODx is probably the best CMS ever...
But you should ask the same question on the Joomla/Wordpress/Silverstripe/CMSxxxx forums, they will most probably tell you exactly the same thing about their favorite tool...
What is "the best"?
There are loads CMS ses, Typo3 is a good one.
Joomla has loads of extension, templating I find, in yoomla is not as flexible as it is in Modx.
So Modx is the best for me, it all depends on your needs and skills.
