I am making a new site and looked at some info on both Evolution and Revolution. Would like to be able to use Revolution because
1) Wouldn’t have to do a major version upgrade later. I assume there will be quite some architectural differences
2) The Manager/Web User distinction in Evolution somehow bugs me. The site will need to use blogger functions. Do I make them Manager or Web User?
The problem is, the download page says not to use Revolution yet on production site. Is that warning still valid now a few beta versions have been rolled out?

As with all Beta software the idea is to test it in many enviroments and there are still issues, otherwise it would be RC.
Beta should never be used in a production enviroment where stability is needed. That been said I do run my own personal site plus one other off of REVO and other than a few minor issues, don’t have any problems.
But unless you are willing to be checking and tweaking go for Evolution to start with. The developers have said that there will be an upgrade path available.
