Slide Show in Javascript: how to?

Hi all!

I want to build a simple slide show in Javascript, but I can’t manage how to do it, because I’m not a Javascript/DOM expert... Plus I can’t choose (if I need them) among MooTools, JScript, etc.

I "plucked" MooTools for my first try... I got it but it isn’t working in IE (lol), so I decided to not use a framework, but to get it "from the ground".

Do you have any clues, any good links where to learn, or do you have any good hint for a simple framework?

I prefer to code this slide show on my own, in order to learn JS/DOM, but if you think I might start from something easier tell me!

I tried this one and it does work in IE. Also Dimmy made it into a snippet. But maybe a good way to check on "how to".

You can use maxigallery to manage a slideshow. By default the snippet contain :

# slidebox
# lightboxv2
# slimbox
# smoothgallery

and you can easily use another one if you like.

you dont need to code anything, just install the snippet and maybe read the wiki to find some examples:

You must know that in these days I have been studying JavaScript to understand an already-made slideshow just to modify it

I think I’ll continue with my work, but I’ll check this one too
