Need CSS help

I was wondering if anyone here can help me with a CSS issue.

I need the pre_header div on this page (http://knightechnologysolutions.com/sandbox.html) resized so that it is 50px tall, with the sIFR text centered vertically. I’d also like to get the sIFR text centered horizontally.

I have wracked my brain trying to get this to work, and I know it is a simple solution, I just can’t get it!

You should be able to do this in this manner:

Make the div height 50px. Make the text line-height 50px - no padding or margin. That should center it in the area. You may have to tweak it a slight bit when using sFIR, but I don’t believe so.

excellent suggestion, hadn’t tried the line-height yet, BUT.... it still didn’t work.

Try the line height using plain text. If that works you know it’s a sIFR issue. If it doesn’t there is something else going on.

Spot-on about sIFR being the culprit. I went ahead and removed it; didn’t like the extra load time. Even a 1MB image loads faster. THX M8!

Have you tried Cufon? Haven’t used it myself but just read up on it as an alternative to sIFR. Glad you sorted your problem though
