Highlight php codes in content

Hi,

I want to highlight my PHP codes or HTML codes and ... in document contents but i have no idea to do this.
I created a plugin to use highlight_str for contents of a div but it didn’t work (My bad bad regex):


Do you have any idea?

For back-end use (snippets, plugins, modules), try this:

I made a highlighter package using geshi a while back which works quite well for me and may be of interest to you.

Attached is "Geshi.zip", unzip it on your local comp... contents included are:

Geshi.snippet.php.txt: code for the snippet, copy and paste this into a new snippet (example usage params are in the top of the snippet)

/geshi - folder: drop this into your assets/snippets/folder (or wherever else you want it, but make sure to adjust the paths in the top of the snippet if you relocate it)

/geshi/functions/

/geshi/manager_files/: these can be removed as they are for manager highlighting (unused)

95% of the original geshi functions are available in the snippet, and it can be used multiple times on a page. I’m in a pinch for time at the moment but any questions I’ll be glad to answer as soon as possible.

I used jQuery/chilli plugin for this on my blog, but I may switch to code-prettify. Did not know that there was a modx resource for it. I am not aware of Geshi, will check it out.

Prettify uses mootools! Me like.

- I actually had errors for prettify.js so went to google link mentioned downloaded and used that prettify.js
still had errors... Turned off:

Now working nicely AFAIK I’m not using the plugin and are using addEvent("load"... instead of domready.
