Ok, I am lost.. I need to add a number to a surfer friendly url via an input for that a user types in.
the url is http://domain/listing/details/[ID HERE]
the reason i need this is "quick search" when the person knows the number which is required.
Anyway on accomplishing my goal? Thanks
If I’m not mistaken what you are intending to do... You can do it simply by enabling Friendly URLs, enable friendly alias and leave the URLs suffix empty!

What do you mean that is for outside MODx?, Did you renamed ht.access file to .htaccess and checked the FURLS conditions to suit with your host in it?
Forget about Modx for this topic. I just need a user to use the input form to type a number (id of object).
This number needs to be added to the end of a specific url, and therefore go to the detailed page of object of interest. Thats al I need.
