Hi all, I’ve been reading the SVN book and I am wondering about managing a MODx site with subversion:

articles about SVN and webDev in general, but I don’t really see how all snippets code that gets saved in MODx mySql tables can be versioned...
Anyone?!
I think that the best way to achieve that is to make your snippets, plugins, and modules into simple include statements and include external files (which can then be versioned, and should NOT end in .php or any other executable extension). Jason (OpenGeek) has posted his code for a single snippet that can pass parameters to pretty much any include file (search for threads on reducing the size of the MODx site cache file). Chunks, TVs, and other content is more difficult, and I’m not sure that there’s a good solution for versioning those.
Would (manually) including a dump of the database in the repository be a managable workflow !?
