png transparency issue

i am just messing around with different layouts and have stumbled across a problem that is obviously a huge issue to designers/developers. My question is specifically if anyone has had problems in ie7 (not worrying about earlier versions yet).

I have messed around with a number of different fixes (ie. filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src=’test.png’, sizingMethod=’scale’) and a javascript fix) and haven’t had success. As far as I’ve read in other forums IE7 shouldn’t have a problem rendering the png files and these fixes are for earlier versions of IE. If anyone has any suggestions I could use some serious help.

Did you use png-8 or png-24?

Glad to hear you got the problem resolved! As a site note you may want to add a left padding of 30-35px to get your menu inside the page body.
