OK, I have a Twitter account. Now what?

I use Twhirl, which I like better. It has all the features, settings, etc. as TweetDeck/Twitterific. I never really liked Twitterific, and TweetDeck was great, except for 2 things: TweetDeck took up too much space, and crashed or was buggy often on Leopard.

Twhirl’s been working great, no complaints, so far.

I’ve not used Twitterific but multi accounts is coming in the next point release in TweetDeck AFAIK. What I like about tweetdeck is grouping but I am finding its limit of ten annoying but I may start using feeds of search terms to grab results instead of keeping them in Tweetdeck.

Twhirl’s appeal is I can use it with friendfeed but I gave up on Friendfeed a 2nd time as I can’t seem to make sense of how to make connections or share any value.

I am finding Twiterrific to be very good. I opted for it simply because it was the only one that is not on top of Air. I have no problem with Air but it seems that if you can run native code it will be better. I am using the free version and the occasional ads are not a problem. Once I commit I will gladly pay the license.

can eat a lot of time... I guess is an exercise on selecting what is good to read and what is not.

Now, I will try one of the desktop managers that you suggested... or twitter managers, or whatever
they are called...

@charliez One thing I will suggest is that your profile looks like a bot account. There is no picture avatar, no bio, an url in the URL and the only post is a link. These fit the profile of a spammer/bot account. Twitter will delete the account if it fits the profile. If people you follow block you because they think you are a bot Twitter will do it sooner than later.

I didn’t follow you back until I read this post since I receive lots of these types of requests.

Get your photo up there, and write a 160char bio that reps you and/or what you do.

They forgot a bunch of interresting things, like the lifestream module for Drupal (insipired by SweetCron) or the lifestream plugin for wordpress.

I personnally use sweetcron for my personnal page and it works pretty well

I still need to learn how to make something like that for modx, I think I will look at these drupal and wordpress scripts to see if I can change them for modx!

At the moment I just use the js-script from twitter, but that is slowing down my site (as seen on mediaguy.eu in the bottom)

While you are it look for the opposite, automated twitter posting of your blog posts. Like a Twitter Bot for your own site.
