I want to do a map of ’areas we cover’ which listed Florida counties as vector image with borders for counties, when user hover certain county I want to display a pop up with info like "yes we do serve $county" . since the border lines are not even I can’t really break the map for sections unless i slice it to million images and apply them the same class.
is there a classier way you could recommend maybe?
The site you linked to uses a HTML MAP element, its one image which has links in various shapes and sizes defined for different parts of it. Look up ’HTML MAP’ in google and you will find tools and tutorials on how to make them. I’m guessing that with a little javascript you could get the pop up to work. The other common option would be to do it with flash.
