Don’t know how familiar you’re with MODx but there are no such ready-to-use templates like with other CMS.
Of course, you can adapt some existing layout to MODx and maybe someone has written a template that you could use for your data.
You can use the Ditto snippet to list the news. MODx lets you a lot of freedom as for the layout if you have time to build your own template.
Actually, there are currently
85 templates that you can download in the official resource repositories. As Jul mentioned,
