my dad has an old site since 1997 using broken HTML. he has lots of article pages (~3000) as he a writer...
currently he type his txt in dreamwever and ftp the file. nothing exciting and no generated lists.
anyhow, we both agree it’s time for an upgrade, for the markup, and the layout, and special for 2008 we need a good engine too.
So being so blindly in love with modx I started building him a green powered site. so I tweaked the site with the expected snippets and blog and it got a shape already, but honestly, as much as I wanted to use modx for the task I thing I should have chosen something more end-user oriented and not a framework.
On my other sites I made modx was perfect and I even have my own blog with modx, but I feel a change should be made.
So I was thinking on wordpress because of the plugin they already have and the blog feature which I can easily use for him to post his new articles.
and I checked also expressionengine and really liked it, but it’s not open source so I skip it.
while I do my research, would someone please recommend me a link to check out?
