I plan to use Wordpress for some simple websites coming up soon. The client just needs something really simple. I was wondering what you guys like/dislike about Wordpress and what plugins or resources you use.

Wordpress is a great platform for basic blogs and have used it for quite a few side projects. Reason: Customers find the admin panel extremely easy to use because it’s very simple and made for blogs.
Used tons of addons also...depends on the site and the needs. Very easy to implement
Only use wordpress for basic websites with limited features (people that don’t expect the website to expand with more features in the future).
For sites that want to expand with various features in the future I still use Modx.
I’m actually moving my wordpress clients to Modx.
I’ve used Wordpress for awhile and while it is very good as a blogging platform, customizing it is a pain.
If you really want something that’s even easier for your clients to use than Wordpress, then have a look at Ning. A complete blogging social networking platform for free or a few dollars a month if you want to run it under your own domain.
